E3 2018: 10 Xbox-Saving Announcements Microsoft Must Make
5. Fable 4
Lionhead is no longer with us, and as saddening as its demise is, the existence of both it and Fable isn't a mutually exclusive deal. Microsoft knows that there's still a healthy appetite for all things Albion - despite the lacklustre Fable: The Journey and Legends - so there's no way in this lifetime that it'll let the franchise die with its parent.
With that said Fable 4 is a long way from being official, but if the rumours are to be believed, a potential sequel is closer than many think. Forza Horizon developer Playground Games is known to be spearheading a new, unannounced RPG and, if the mystery project is indeed Fable 4, an announcement lines up perfectly with E3.
Microsoft, as we all know, is in desperate need of some exclusives, more specifically, those of the brand new kind, and while Fable 4 doesn't fit that description, there's been one helluva wait for the fourth entry. In name, it may be familiar, but with a different developer at the helm, who knows what shape Albion will take for future instalments?
