E3 2018: 15 Best Moments
8. Ghost Of Tsushima Is A Gorgeous Samurai Actioner
Sony finally lifted the lid on Infamous developer Sucker Punch's new samurai game Ghost of Tsushima, and it was without question one of the most visually awe-inspiring games shown throughout all of E3.
The gameplay demo revealed that the game takes place at least partially during a Mongol invasion (apparently set in 1274), with protagonist Jin Sakai racing through the countryside on horseback before being accosted by three soldiers.
Jin violently dispatches them, of course, but the real centre-piece of the demo was an eye-watering swordfight between Jin and his uneasy ally Masako, set against an incredible sunset and underneath a leave-shedding tree.
The gameplay itself may seem relatively familiar, but the art direction and graphical fidelity are out of this world. What's more, it was later confirmed that the game will ship with Japanese audio options for those who crave them.
