The entire Devolver Digital conference could easily be filed under the WTF category, but by this point we know that’s exactly what to expect.
This year was no disappointment in that department. They did a zany twist on a Nintendo Direct style show that was part Robocop, part Cronenberg and all hilarious piss-take on the state of E3 in itself. Do yourself and give it a look – but be prepared for weirdness.
With that said, the strangest part of the conference, at least in business terms, was that Devolver is releasing an intentional rip-off collection of their most successful games (e.g.Hotline Milwaukie, Ape Out Jr and Enter The Gun Dungeon).
It is already available via Steam, but will these be genuinely fun games or just some kind of weird joke with no punchline?
