EA Sports UFC: 10 Fighters We Need In DLC

We won't be happy until we can play with T.J Dillashaw.

EA Sports UFC has been available for a week and already many hundreds of thousands of ridiculous knockouts have been served, countless gigantic slams have been hit and hundreds of silly create-your-own fighters have been crafted. So far the game has been met with a mixed to positive reception, with many critics praising the superb graphics and presentation but observing that the hyper-realistic strikes detract from the immersion of the experience. Now EA€™s game is through its initial launch phase, many gamers are wondering when the first downloadable fighters will be made available. It is no secret that the game€™s roster of 99 playable fighters has omitted several noteworthy athletes, not least the reigning bantamweight champion T.J Dillashaw. Speaking to Sherdog, the game€™s Creative Director Brian Hayes revealed that though Dillashaw€™s title victory came as a great shock, EA would release a series of €œfree roster updates as look to ensure the game stays relevant and true to the UFC€. This news will be extremely well received by the gamers who had feared that EA Sports UFC would be without many of the fighters they felt were unfairly omitted from the game. Here are the 10 fighters we would like to see EA Sports make available via DLC:

10. Ali Bagautinov

The Russian flyweight may have come up short against the incredibly skilled Demetrius Johnson a fortnight ago at UFC 174, but this shouldn€™t mean that Ali Bagautinov doesn€™t eventually become available in the game. The 125-lb division currently has the smallest offering of fighters of all the game€™s male weight classes despite it being a talent rich division in real life €“ who better to supplement the paltry 8 fighters than the most recent title contender? Prior to his failed attempt to capture Mighty Mouse€™s belt, Bagautinov had looked incredible ever since his UFC debut with convincing, lopsided wins against the likes of John Lineker and Tim Elliot. The suitably nicknamed Puncher King has a stellar striking game, with an aggressive, wild stand-up technique which he is capable of maintaining for the whole fight thanks to his immense cardio. All of the Russian fighters who have recently been causing waves in the UFC use a Sambo base to out-grapple their opponents; however, Bagautinov€™s Sambo skills are the best in the UFC. He may be called the Puncher King but the Suplex King might be an even more fitting nickname €“ Ali is a two time World Combat Sambo champion and a five time Russian Combat Sambo champion. Indeed, even in his fight with Demetrius, Bagautinov was able to land a couple of huge slams. EA would have breathed a sigh of relief when Mighty Mouse had his hand raised after the Bagautinov fight; thankfully their game wouldn€™t be released lacking two UFC champions. However, the Russian flyweight would be a superb addition to boost the lacking flyweight roster. Other flyweights we€™d love to see made available via DLC include John Lineker, Zach Makovsky and John Moraga.
