EA Sports UFC Roster: 15 Most Shocking Fighter Omissions
14. Yoel Romero
Cuban mixed martial artist Yoel Romero has been causing a stir in the UFC ever since he joined the promotion from the ranks of the now-defunct Strikeforce. It is not really what he has done in MMA but how he has done it which warrants Romeros placement on the game. Though he got into MMA at a fairly late stage in his athletic career, the 37-year-old Olympic silver medallist has shown himself to possess all the attributes to be a force in the middleweight division. You would be wrong in thinking that the Olympic wrestler just relied on his world-class grappling skills. Prior to his last fight, Romero had won all of his victories via KO/TKO, showing himself to be an unpredictable striker capable of beautiful flying-knees, spinning back fists and huge elbows. The American Top Team fighter looks better with each performance and is sure to break into the ranks of the UFC middleweight divisions top 10 fighters very soon. Expect the absence of Yoel Romero to look increasingly egregious as time goes by.
