Elder Scrolls: 10 Best Oblivion Quests

9. Light Of The Dragonfires

You know you've truly got an unique and immersive game when the grand finale of the main questline only makes it to number 9 on a top ten list of great quests.

The conclusion to everything set up since the beginning of the game, Light of the Dragonfires begins with players escorting Martin Septim from Cloud Ruler Temple to Chancellor Ocato at the Imperial City Palace in the Imperial City where he is crowned Emperor. Once there, players must protect Martin from hordes of the invading Daedric armies that have begun swarming the entire city with the help of either Baurus or Captain Steffan.

The mission is, by far, Oblivion's most action-packed and biggest in scale, but only ramps up further when the Daedric Lord Mehrunes Dagon enters the Imperial City via his Oblivion Gate. Once players have managed to escort Martin to the Temple of the One, they get to see the last Septim transform into a huge dragon and face off in a final showdown against Dagon.

It truly is an epic and fitting conclusion to everything the story had been building up for, and definitely worth a shout for the best final mission in Elder Scrolls history.
