3. Black Marsh
This is the rumoured setting for Elder Scrolls VI. If Bethesda chooses Black Marsh, then the game will revolve around Argonian culture. This is one of the more fascinating locations due to the oppressed social status Argonians occupy in the rest of Tamriel. A new faction like the Shadowscales would be possible to play, which is noteworthy because they are only heard about in lore and occasional conversation with NPCs. There is also a strong Imperial presence, providing both a faction and a dynamic in architecture. As for ruling political bodies, these details are rather ambiguous, holes that Bethesda could fill if this is the location. Geographically, Black Marsh is a big, mostly uncharted wilderness filled with thick swamps and waterways, perfect for the reptilian natives. Due to Imperial conquest, there would most likely be a lot of outposts and forts similar to those in Morrowind. A location like this would be more about wilderness than even Skyrim, moving Bethesda away from cosmopolitan centers and bigger cities. As a possible and rumoured candidate, Black Marsh is also one of the biggest provinces in Tamriel, making exploration a must.
