5. The Inpatient

It's pretty depressing that not only are the two worst PS4 exclusives of 2018 both VR games, but they're also both from Supermassive Games, who clearly bit off more than they could chew with these malnourished VR projects.

Given their prior VR success with the spectacular Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, hopes were high that this horror prequel would deliver a bone-rattling VR experience on par with, say, Resident Evil 7.

As it turns out, the largely on-rails The Inpatient is a visually remarkable yet oddly mild two-hour horror romp that's almost completely bereft of atmosphere.

The fact the player can't even die for the majority of the game sucks most of the tension out of the scenario, which combined with a forgettable plot and cast of characters ensures this feels like it was hastily slapped together for some easy cash.
