So after the sleeper success of FTL on the indie scene, what would be the next natural step for the deep space Rogue-like? Naturally, mixing it with the First-Person Shooter genre!

That's not the first thing many would actually think, yet the makers of this upcoming multi-platform title did just that - and to be honest the preview footage looks like an interesting mix of genres.

The FPS action is fairly generic but in a combination with base building and randomly generated challenges (plus the stress of crew perma-death), there's a kernel of something fresh here.

As of now, it sits on the fence of either gelling well or the having all the elements smash in a hideous train-wreck.
