Since 2019 started up, we've seen a relentless slew of big game releases. Some came out swinging strong, with others arriving on a cloud of hype, only to fizzle away. With that said, it's not an exaggeration to say only three months into the year, we have a handful of solid Game Of The Year contenders - so what does April have in store?
Well, this month sees a change of gears as the rollout slows down considerably. That's not a slight on the quality though, as what's arriving is strong; we're getting a bunch of eclectic indies, lush looking VR titles and some enticing heavy hitters as well, with nary a stinker amongst them. Overall, April's titles are arriving with less noise and in smaller doses.
So, let's sift through this quieter (but more interesting) stack coming our way. It may not be as flashy and sexy as the beginning of the year, but it's more than worthy of anyone's attention.
