The first Crackdown was a blast. The second Crackdown was not.
Cut to the third instalment announced in 2014 for the Xbox One, which has received so many delays that the initial excitement has really whittled down on it.
Regardless, it's finally launching this month and Microsoft has played it smart by including it as a Day One on Xbox Game Pass, meaning those luke-warm on it will still give it a go.
So, will it be the outright disaster most are expecting? Or a surprise win? The truth will probably fall somewhere in the middle.
