HP Lovecraft seems to be a major source of love for game developers more than for actual gamers.
Over the years there’s been a consistent slew of games inspired by the age-old writer's works, but they’ve never reached commercial success.
Last year's Call Of The Cthulu sank quick, yet here is The Sinking City; familiar tropes of nefarious fish people, a protagonist's fragile sanity and retro tropes are all back and familiar.
On the other hand, it's set intriguingly in an open-world, has a heavy emphasis on detective work and hints at a narrative that could bring some gripping twists. Oh, and it looks quite pretty too...
