With all the talk of E3 today, this may have gone under the radar for most but you can now download Fable 3 for FREE over on the Xbox Live Marketplace. In what was initially reported as a glitch is now a legit download for Xbox owners. Again, Fable 3 is now up for FREE on the Xbox Live Marketplace. There is one catch however, you must be an Xbox Live Gold member to download the goods at no extra cost. Gold members are able to download Fable 3 even without points in their accounts. Microsoft has confirmed that "it's not a glitch and that the title is a treat ahead of E3". That said, I somehow think this won't last forever so you better grab it while you can. In other Fable news, Lionhead announced Fable Anniversary, which is an HD remake of the original game. This new remastered version of Fable is on the way for the Xbox 360. It will also be complete with The Lost Chapters. There is no word of a PC port yet. This remastered edition is set to see the whole world touched up with new lighting, new textures, new facial animations, and even new cut scene animations. These are all to be rendered in glorious 1080p HD. The game has been given an entirely new interface with a new save system and minimal load screens. There is also a collection of achievements that have been created for Fable Anniversary. So good news all around for Fable fans. So, while you wait for that one, be sure to grab your free download of Fable 3 before Microsoft changes their minds and make you pay for it. It wasn't a great game, but it is free.
