Fallout 4: 7 Post-Apocalyptic Alternatives To Bethesda’s Atomic Sequel

3. Mad Max

It was about time Max Rockatansky was given the chance to star in a decent video game of his own. The leather-clad Road Warrior's celluloid exploits were a well of inspiration for everything from Fallout to Borderland. Avalanche Studios€™ Mad Max was years overdue. Released earlier this year for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, this third-person action-adventure had players exploring deserts, canyons, and caves in a massive, post-apocalyptic dust bowl. In some respects, it can be chalked up as another film-themed game that fails to live up to the Batman Arkham series, but it nailed one thing; vehicular combat. You€™ll feel every inch like Max Max when you€™re thundering through the desert in a rusting death machine, bandits on your tail and a cloud of dust following in your wake - the Tom Hardy version too, not the Mel Gibson one, just to clear that one up.
