Far Cry 5: 10 Things We Can't Wait To Do

Far Cry Arcade is going to change everything.

Moving away from exotic, overseas environments and instead throwing players into the rural wilderness of the American West to face off against crazed religious fanatics armed to the teeth with LMGs, Far Cry 5 is attempting to shake up Ubisoft's long-running franchise in a major way.

The different setting is only the first step though, and from the changes they've announced so far it's clear that the developers are wanting to break away from the constraints of the previous releases. Responding to fan feedback, the devs have already announced that they're getting rid of busywork like the staple Ubisoft towers, instead attempting to put the focus on player freedom and trying to deliver a tighter, more sophisticated story.

This new approach has meant that a lot of the old features have either been thrown out entirely in place of new systems and mechanics, or tweaked to fit the sequel's updated design. Unsurprisingly then, Far Cry 5 will no doubt be absolutely packed with things to do, but these are the features most fans will be dying to get their hands on come the end of the month.
