9. Recruit A Bear With Fangs For Hire

Building upon Primal's focus of making wild animals a part of your arsenal, 5's new Fangs For Hire system is taking that idea one notch higher, allowing you to free and recruit a variety of animals to fight alongside you. This being a 2018 game and all, each companion has their own upgrade screen too. Yay?

While they haven't shown off every ally you can find in the world, a particular diabetic grizzly bear named Cheeseburger (because this is apparently 2008 and lolcats are still big) has dominated the pre-release footage so far. Although there are humans you can take on your explosive adventure too, there's just something so inherently Far Cry about storming enemy bases with a gigantic grizzly at your side, taking orders like a good little soldier.

The full extent of Fangs for Hire hasn't been revealed yet, but it's clear that the more you use the wildlife to your advantage, the more versatile they become. The series has always had vicious animals right at the heart of its gameplay, and it looks like this idea has been pushed to its ridiculously OTT max in the upcoming title.
