FIFA 14: 10 EPL Players Who Will Definitely Be Over-Rated

8. Hugo Lloris

Team: Tottenham Hotspur Hugo Lloris is a great 'keeper, there's no denying that. But what he is not, is a 90 plus rated 'keeper. Overall, FIFA 13 gave the French custodian a very high 87 rating, with plus 90 on key attributes like Diving and Reflexes, and yet anyone who has watched the 'keeper in real life will probably quite happily admit that those figures are vastly over-powered. There is no way Lloris should have been rated a full 10 plus points over Tim Krul for the same attributes, or 7 more than Simon Mignolet, or even 8 more than Michel Vorm, all of whom proved themselves better 'keepers than Lloris last term (even in comparatively struggling teams, especially in the cases of Newcastle and Sunderland.) In real life, Brad Friedel kept the Frenchman out of the starting line-up, and for good reason, despite being a massive 15 points lower for Diving, and 12 lower for reflexes. Lloris was unfairly over-powered, and you have to suspect that he will command similar stats this year out as well, especially with presumably more projected pitch time, and a season of Premier League football under his belt.
