5. More Immersive Interaction With The Press
Occasionally during career mode on FIFA 13, players would be given the opportunity to speak to the press. There, they would be provided with up to four options, ranging from the abilities to either praise or motivate your chosen club to criticising either your next rival or their manager. This would trigger a news piece written up by the in-game media in which we lay into Rafael Benitez or claim Chelsea are a bunch of has-beens. It's not a bad feature but it loses its novelty incredibly quickly due mainly to the complete lack of alternative options. In future games, I'd like to be able to write up my own unique answer when quizzed by the press using the virtual keyboard built in to consoles such as the PS3. I'd like to be able to give specific answers to questions and also respond to media reports that one of my players is about to be sold. That would make for a much more immersive experience while dealing with the press and would make that particular feature a lot less tedious.
