2. Actual Managers On The Touchline
This is another improvement that may seem superficial on the face of it but would actually make a great difference. In last year's FIFA 13, EA added "managers" to the touchline during games, which players could see prowling the technical area at certain intervals. However, rather than be actual representations of the likes of famous bosses Sir Alex Ferguson, Jose Mourinho or Arsene Wenger, they were merely generic models. Cue the disappointment. If EA can spend so much time perfecting the actual likenesses of football's biggest stars, why can't we see Sam Allardyce's miserable mug? Or David Moyes in his tracksuit? The answer to that question is we can - but EA are too lazy to implement it, just like their repeated insistence of giving us substandard trophy celebrations. Hopefully in '15, the publishers will realise the small details matter just as much as the wholesale changes to gameplay.
