Barcelona act with far more financial frugality than their La Liga rivals Real Madrid. Rather than making gigantic 100-million offers for players, they tend to act more strategically. This was exemplified by the sale of Cesc Fabregas to Chelsea for £30 million and the signing of the £14 million Ivan Rakiti to replace him. Rakitis move from Sevilla to one of the leagues giants has seemingly seen him rewarded with an improved FIFA 15 rating. Croatia's lynchpin had an exceptional season with Sevilla, ultimately scoring 15 goals and recording an impressive 17 assists. Over the years he has also proven himself to be one of the worlds premier spot kickers, scoring many impressive set-piece goals. Though there is already a long list of players who will happily take a free kick for Barca, Rakiti will most certainly shoot to the top. His excellent season for Sevilla was cemented by some impressive performances in the solid Croatian side in Brazil. The headlines may exclusively be about the attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez but Rakiti is bound to be a valued addition to the stacked Barcelona squad.
