FIFA 15: 10 New Things You Can Do

6. Rely On Your Keeper

In past instalments of everyone€™s favourite footie game one of the biggest sources of frustration has been the one player outside our control €“ the goal keeper. Sometimes their actions and decisions can be described as being nothing other than baffling. In FIFA 14 for example, the keeper would tip the ball over the bar for a corner when it would have been easier to simply catch it, kick the ball out for a throw in or €“ most infuriatingly €“ casually stroll back into the box after coming out. Thankfully, based on the demo it seems like EA Sports have endeavoured to improve the intellect of their idiotic goalies. Not only are the animations for the fingertip saves now significantly more believable but the keepers now do a far better job protecting their goal. This of course makes it harder to score but also more satisfying. Thankfully in FIFA 15 you will be able to have faith in your keeper. Though generally speaking the keepers featured on the demo including Courtois (randomly rated lower than Cech), Hart, Weidenfeller and Bravo will inevitably be some of FIFA 15€™s best keepers, even Boca Junior€™s lower rated Agustín Orión performs valiantly in the demo.
