The debate about goal-line technology is still hotly contested on the terraces, in pubs and on sofas across the country, despite the policy being approved by the IFAB two years ago. The traditionalists hold that the use of goal-line tech eliminates the debate which makes fans so passionate about the sport while supporters like how the referee can now categorically verify if a goal has been scored. The guys over EA Sports dont have a say about whether or not they agree with goal-line technology their job is to make FIFA as realistic as possible. This of course meant that they had to implement the technology into FIFA 15. While this addition doesnt have an impact on the actual gameplay (because there werent any controversial goals on FIFA 14 anyway), its a nice visual touch which helps keep the franchise in keeping with the modern sport. Alongside the vastly improved pre-game cinematics, this addition makes you genuinely feel like youre taking part in a match with real stakes.
