FIFA 15: 10 Players Who Need Downgrading After World Cup

10. Mario Balotelli €“ 84

It would be overly harsh and rather unjustified to pin the failure of the Italian squad on Mario Balotelli but Cesare Prandelli placed a great deal of faith in the enigmatic ex-Man City striker and didn€™t receive much in return other than a single goal against an uninspired England defence. Other than this one noteworthy act the man who netted a fairly average 14 league goals for Milan last season looked disinterested and lacked the work-rate of a player representing his country on the biggest stage of all. Giuseppe Rossi who scored as many league goals as Balotelli in the first half of last season before injury derailed his season was inexplicably left off the plane to Brazil despite being fit to play. Balotelli may have scored some spectacular goals for his country in the past but it€™s difficult to deny that his recent performances for the Azzurri warrant a downgrade on FIFA 15. It€™s almost as though the Milan striker€™s effervescent personality means that coaches feel obliged to select him even though there are clearly better options out there. Suggested Rating: 80
