FIFA 15: 10 Players Who Need Downgrading After World Cup

9. Jack Wilshere €“ 82

Once hyped up as the next star of English football, Jack Wilshere€™s spark certainly doesn€™t burn as brightly as it once did. Since the 22-year-old became a regular for Arsenal in 2010 it was believed that the 2014 World Cup would be the international stage on which Wilshere would become England€™s next big thing. However, a career ravaged by persistent, frustrating injuries means that Wilshere no longer looks like the same player; his rating on FIFA 14 of 82 doesn€™t reflect this. Though he only got a start in the game against Costa Rica where England€™s fate was already sealed, Wilshere looked short of the confidence and leadership which had once defined him as a player. His vision, passing and combination play which had Arsenal fans on the edge of their seats a few seasons ago was unable to open up Costa Rica€™s defence and he was eventually subbed off for veteran Steven Gerrard. If Wilshere were truly deserving of 84-long passing, 86-short passing and 86-vision he would have been far more useful to England€™s disappointing World Cup campaign than he was. Suggested Rating: 79
