FIFA 15: 10 Players Who Will Definitely Receive A Higher Rating
4. Daniel Sturridge (81)
Daniel Sturridge's rating in FIFA 14 was... odd. While EA can hide behind the excuse that the likes of Adnan Januzaj and Luke Shaw were unproven at the time they handed down their annual ratings, Sturridge was impressing in the Premier League when they assigned him his paltry score of 81. The Liverpool man had scored 10 league goals from 14 appearances in the second half of the 2012-13 season after completing his January move from Chelsea, where he had also shown glimpses of his potential having scored once from seven outings. And so it's hard to fathom his rating of 81. That score looks all the more ridiculous off the back of yet another fantastic personal campaign for the forward. Sturridge netted 21 league goals in 29 appearances to finish as the second-highest scorer in the Premier League, behind (now former) teammate and Golden Boot winner Luis Suarez. That run of form took in a run of four goals in three games while he became the first Liverpool player in the Premier League era to find the back of the net in seven consecutive league games when he struck against Fulham back in February. Such performances surely deserve an increase in rating and EA have to oblige. We think a score of 85 would be sufficient.
