Having a good physical stat on a FUT card makes a big difference. But Napoli's Dries Mertens is a little too diminutive to get one, so he needs to make up for it in other areas. The good news is, the Belgian does. He may stand at 5'7", but know that his attacking stats are top notch if you're looking for a nippy attacking midfielder. He's better played behind the front one/two instead of in a central midfield role, where he can fully utilise his ability to bamboozle defenders. Four-star skill and weak-foot ratings are an excellent start, and his 88 pace, 87 dribbling and 77 shooting make him a dangerous lad to have in your team. His passing is rated highly too, so if you like this type of player, there aren't many out there who are better value for money.
