FIFA 16: Brand New 'No Touch Dribbling' Footage
Featuring Lionel Messi, Lionel Messi, and of course, Lionel Messi.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiNO8u2Sfs0&feature=youtu.be FIFA 16 news is quickly filtering through following E3's big burst of information from EA, and now they're expanding on each area that they touched upon during their press conference. One of the most eagerly-anticipated aspects is the no touch dribbling feature, with EA looking to tweak and perfect FIFA 16 as opposed to undergoing a massive overhaul and re-inventing the already winning formula. Pressing and holding LB/L1 will momentarily see the player step away from the ball in one direction, before zipping back in another direction of the user's choosing. This offers players another weapon when it comes to taking on defenders while running.
Lionel Messi is the pinnacle of mazy running, so his precise body movements have been recorded and tracked by EA in order for them to get a realistic motion. If anybody is going to successfully pull off a 'no touch dribble' it's going to be him, though EA have been quick to declare that it's success rate depends on the players and their respective skill levels. If EA can maintain the balance and make the no touch dribbling a feature that needs to be mastered as opposed to unleashed at will, it will be a great addition to help with the fluidity of the game, while it can also be used to let the ball roll for a player to steady himself before a shot. This will be the first of many more detailed insights into FIFA 16's new features from EA, with more news emerging right up until launch day.
