The 20-year-old was poached from the Empoli youth system by Juventus though he was loaned back to his old club for two seasons and continued to impress. He's a tall commanding presence and is widely-tipped to succeed Andrea Barzagli, no small task, but they obviously deem him ready to fill those boots.
