It's official, FIFA 16 will include women's football teams for the first time ever, with an array of international teams for fans to use in the game. 12 of the highest-rated international teams will be included, though EA Sports announced that women's teams would not be able to square off against their male counterparts, denying the world of Lionel Messi vs. Steph Houghton battles. However, users will be able to play with the teams on kick off mode, as well as offline tournaments and online friendly games. It's an exciting and unexpected step forward for the FIFA franchise, and it could now go on to feature the FA Women's Super League (FAWSL) as well as other leagues around the world as the popularity of the sport grows.
