FIFA 17: 10 Overpowered Players Who Will Dominate
This year every defender will be seeing the back of Bale's shirt...
It's true that Neymar is one of the most talented players on the planet today, and he even ranks third on EA Sports official 'Top 50' for FIFA 17. The upcoming title is the most intriguing entry yet into the long-running franchise for years, not least because of a revamped Career Mode and brand spanking new 'Journey' Mode.
Meanwhile, there are still those obsessing over player ratings, picking apart little differences in pace, positioning, shooting, passing and even physicality. Undoubtedly to the surprise of some, even though he's ranked third by the developers themselves, Neymar isn't even on this list. He's a useful player, obviously, but he's not what could be considered 'overpowered' compared to the ones featured here.
Simply put, this range of defenders, strikers, attacking midfielders and even goalkeepers are ridiculously maxed out in terms of stats. All are amongst the best in their individual positions, but have been chosen due to the fact they will dominate no matter what your tactics or style of play.
Long-balls, a crossing game or even mazy dribbles are all catered for. Let's look at the most overpowered players in FIFA 17...
10. Mesut Özil
In real life, fans of Arsenal have been scratching their heads that a player like Mesut Özil hasn't turned them into a title-winning team. On the pitch, the midfielder is a passing maestro, and that rings true in FIFA 17. Although a player like Neymar has better dribbling in the game, Özil combines his 86 rating with amazing passing.
He may not be the quickest, but that doesn't matter due to his ability to pick out the perfect pass. Those who enjoy playing balls over the top will revel in that accuracy, whereas others seeking out the killer through ball will make great use of Özil too.
EA Sports have maybe been a bit harsh on the man's shooting, which is really the only thing stopping him from potentially ranking much higher on this list. If that stat was better, he'd be lethal for more reasons than just passing.
As it stands, Özil is shaping up to be a great man to have sitting in a diamond behind two strikers. That's where he can skip by a defensive midfielder and play that perfect ball.
