FIFA 17: 15 Real Madrid Player Ratings Leaked
14. Casemiro: 80
When Francis Coquelin was plucked from Arsene Wenger's back pocket and thrust into the Arsenal team midway through the 14/15 season, it was a move which drew plenty of eye-rolls and lethargic groans. Once again, it seemed like the stringent Frenchman was refusing to flex the pursestrings to the detriment of the club, however Coquelin would go on to perform admirably for the Gunners. In the end he established himself as an integral cog in their machine and rammed the criticism straight back down the throats of many, and in that sense Casemiro is Real Madrid's Coquelin.
The 24-year-old Brazilian, who has been capped 11 times by his country, had been out in the cold under Rafa Benitez, having been hauled back from a season-long loan at F.C Porto.
One of the first decisions that the incoming Zinedine Zidane made was to instate Casemiro as his ball-winner in the centre of the park, freeing up room for the likes of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.
He ended up playing 11 times in the Champions League, including the full 120 minutes in the final win over Atletico Madrid and has been hailed for his robustness, intelligence and ingenuity. How long a player of his aesthetically unappetising style can survive in a squad owned by Florentino Perez is another question, however - just ask Claude Makelele for his opinion.
