Overall Rating: 80

Club: Shakhtar Donetsk

Position: CB

Yaroslav Rakitskyi - whose name is actually typo'd in the game, silly EA - is a tricky inclusion in terms of chemistry. He's a Ukrainian defender playing in the Ukrainian league, meaning you'll struggle to find quality team-mates to link-up with him without sacrificing a little chemistry, but if you don't mind a few of those dreaded red lines showing-up, Rakitskyi is a great buy.

His stats are incredibly similar to those of David Luiz (check it out), who currently goes for a minimum 40k coins. This makes Rakitskyi a versatile and technically-adept centre back who's as comfortable on the ball as he is extinguishing opposition attacks. His defending stats are excellent across the board (with only heading falling below 80), and high ball control (77), vision (75), and short (76) and long (84) passing stats means he excels at building attacks from the back.

Furthermore, Rakitskyi is a relatively quick defender (72 pace) who's rarely left for dead, even when his wonky positioning (53) fails him. The Luiz comparisons even extend as far as long shots, with Rakitskyi boasting a stat of 84 to compliment his 82 shot power.

Approx. Cost: 750 coins.
