FIFA 18: Every Chelsea Player's Ratings

1. Attackers

FIFA 18 Morata
EA Sports

Diego Costa: 86

Álvaro Morata: 84

Michy Batshuayi: 80

Oh, you better believe that moody hitman Diego Costa is still technically part of the Chelsea squad. That may change before FIFA 18 sees release on September 29, but for now Diego is available for selection should boss Antonio Conte have a change of heart. He's part of a 3-pronged strike attack for the Blues, but only jumps a point to 86 from FIFA 17.

New boy Álvaro Morata is the most notable improvement to Chelsea's attack. He's better this year too, and goes from an 82 last time to a whopping 84. Get Hazard or Willian crossing that ball into the box and you'll score lots with the head should the big, physical Spaniard connect. The same goes for Costa, incidentally, but Chelsea fans already knew that.

Oddly, the highly-rated Michy Batshuayi drops from 81 to 80 in FIFA 18. Just like in real life, this is a make or break season for the talented Belgian (Chelsea love their Belgians, don't they?), and if you play with just the sole striker then he'll miss out more often than not.

Dipping into the transfer market seems shrewd when it comes to Career Mode. Get the extra striker Conte wanted this past Summer and you should be fine.
