Antonio Valencia: 83

Daley Blind: 80

Matteo Darmian: 80

Luke Shaw: 79

Tim Fosu-Mensah: 73

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson: 70

Joe Riley: 66

Demetri Mitchell: 64

He might be 32 years old, but Antonio Valencia has received a nice stats boost for FIFA 18, coming in at 83 overall. He started FIFA 17 at 75, but was bumped all the way to 82 on the back of an extremely successful season as Jose Mourinho's preferred right-back, and his numbers will likely remain constant throughout 2017/18.

United's other options are relatively underwhelming. Utility man Daley Blind comes in at a solid 80, but it's unlikely that he'll improve beyond that point, and his rating is shared by the disappointing Matteo Darmian. Both would make solid back-up options, but neither is cut out for a larger role.

Perma-crock Luke Shaw is rated at 79 with the potential to hit 84, meaning he'll likely be most players' first choice left-back from the beginning. The double-barrelled duo of Fosu-Mensah and Borthwick-Jackson start low, but can grow to 85 and 82 respectively if given the right level of nurturing. Both are great options for the future.
