Last year, Atletico winger Carrasco had an impressive base rating and a potential of 88, and after scoring 10 goals for the Spanish side last year, he's been upgraded to a fitting 85 overall. Still only 24, he has a big future ahead of him, and he's bound to be popular in FIFA 18 with 88 Pace as he had last year.

21. Marc-Andre Ter Stegen - Barcelona - 85

He might have had to watch Real Madrid win La Liga, but Marc-Andre Ter Stegen made a good account of himself in Barcelona's nets last year, helping his side to 13 clean sheets in his first year as number one. He inevitably picks up an improved rating off the back of actually playing too, and his kicking in particular is very useful.

20. Jan Vertonghen - Tottenham - 85

FIFA 17 Rating: 83

A big two point increase for Jan Vertonghen this year, after he helped his Spurs side to 15 clean sheets over a tough season. He's legitimately one of the best defenders in the Premier League and it's only right he gets the improved score.
