FIFA 19: 10 Players Who Deserve A Rating Downgrade

7. Gary Cahill

Last Year's Rating: 84

In August, Gary Cahill informed England gaffer Gareth Southgate that he no longer wanted to be considered a full-time member of the national set up. Barring an injury crisis of epic proportions, English fans won't be seeing Gaz pull on the Three Lions. His decision to retire slightly masks the reality: he had been replaced anyway.

Harry Maguire and John Stones were the preferred back two during the summer's World Cup in Russia, and that speaks volumes about where Cahill is at right now. New Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has yet to include the club captain in any of his starting teams so far this season.

In FIFA 18, Cahill's score was 84. That's high, and it made him one of the most reliable centre backs in the game. Due to his ongoing struggles to break into Sarri's plans and his international semi-retirement, the big defender no longer deserves that towering rating when FIFA 19 hits store shelves.
