FIFA 19: 11 Players Who Will Be Overrated
7. Ousmane Dembélé
For years, Real Madrid were accused of shelling out millions to buy La Liga titles, meanwhile, Barcelona did it by growing talented players within the system. In recent years that moniker has changed for Barcelona, as the Catalan club have started throwing money in every direction, sometimes to little effect.
Barcelona's spending reached new heights in 2017 following the sale of Neymar to Paris Saint Germaine. Suddenly flush with cash and panicking to replace the Brazilian, Barcelona went out and purchased eight players in the summer transfer window. The highlight of those signings was 20-year old Ousmane Dembélé from Borussia Dortmund
Dembélé cost Barcelona a whopping amount, and since then has made 23 appearances, playing over 1000 minutes, scoring 4 goals and making 6 assists. Hardly the kind of return that the price tag warrants.
You can't blame Dembélé however, as he was put under incredible pressure and then was put on the bench when Barcelona got their true target: Phillippe Coutinho. The youngster still has immense potential but a disappointing season, coupled with him barely featuring for France at the World Cup, and it's clear his market value and rating has surely suffered.
