FIFA 19 Ultimate Team: 10 Best Cheap Hidden Gems

3. Alessio Romagnoli

Position: CB

Rating: 82

If Stefan Savić is too slow or his inability to dribble out of defence is a worry, then there's always AC Milan's Alessia Romagnoli. Four years younger than Savić, the Italian CB has better pace, dribbling and comparable defending and physical stats. In fact, he's slightly better at jostling for the ball.

Anyone on a tight budget will adore EA's decision to make Romagnoli a snip at 800 coins. His 82 rating is merited, and the defender can be counted on to clear with his weaker foot too. Although he's hardly going to bother FUT's top CBs like Sergio Ramos (91) or Diego Godín (90), the 23-year old Milan player is a superb backup option for any of the game's stars.

He'll only get better too, and that may make Romagnoli someone to build your entire defensive line around. Put it this way: he's fast enough to keep up and cultured enough with the ball at his feet to cut out any trouble. That's what defending is all about, and that 800-coin price point can't be argued with.
