FIFA 21: 10 Improvements To Ultimate Team We Want To See
5. Reintroducing A Trading Market
For those who played Ultimate Team before it became EA's cash cow they just couldn't help but milk dry, players actually had a number of freedoms they are no longer afforded today.
Last seen in FIFA 14's Ultimate Team, players had the option to trade players with their fellow FUT players online allowing for a squad building experience that was not entirely dictated by the price-gouged markets and the completely unreliable, and overpriced packs.
Unfortunately, the trading mechanic allowed players to game the system generating extra coins for themselves, which may have made a small dent into EA's massive profits and therefore was never going to slide.
Which is a crying shame because trading should be the lifeblood of games like FUT. I mean if you think about it, Ultimate Team is just an online version of a trading card game, so the fact that gamers can't make swap deals between themselves is a travesty.
This probably isn't going to be included in FIFA 21, but with some restrictions to avoid cheating, reintroducing trading could really benefit the Ultimate Team experience in the future.
