FIFA 21: 10 Players Who Will Be Horribly Underrated
5. Franck Ribery (Fiorentina)
Another great player at risk of an unwarranted downgrade due to injury and age.
Bad enough that it took EA until January to even add Franck Ribery into Ultimate Team in the first place, the legendary French winger is now at risk of a downgrade.
Following his move to Fiorentina in August 2019, this was Ribery's first transfer since he joined Bayern Munich in 2007 and was set to be his first time playing in the Italian league.
At 37 years of age, there were fears that Ribery would not be able to adjust to a new league and style, but they were quickly quashed.
With 2 goals and 2 assists in 11 league games (or just shy of 8 games in total if you go by his game minutes), Ribery has gelled extremely well with his Florentine teammates.
A 3 match suspension interrupted his run of form, and upon his return, he lasted just a game and half before picking up an injury against Lecce in game week 14.
This injury meant that he required ankle surgery and he had yet to return to training before the league was suspended due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Franck Ribery definitely deserves to retain his 82, but no one would put it past EA to savage his rating and stats.
