FIFA 21: 10 Players Who Will Be Totally Overrated
9. Julian Brandt
Another player with all the potential in the world but has not quite lived up to it after a big move.
After his move from boyhood club Bayer Leverkusen to Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund in the Summer, Brandt seems to have struggled to find his role with a surplus of attacking midfielders and wingers now in the team.
Across his 24 league appearances, Brandt has played in 4 different positions with his most regular position of attacking midfield only being played in 9 times.
As a result of this uncertainty Brandt's goal and assist contributions have tumbled.
At the time of writing Brandt is on just 3 goals and 3 assists in 24 league games, or 0.25 per 90. To put this into context, this is his worst return since 2014/15, where he contributed 4 goals and 2 assists in 25 games, or 0.24 per 90.
This is a sharp drop from the 0.64 goals and assists last season that earned him his big move.
Brandt's FIFA rating has steadily been rising every year, climbing from a 70 in FIFA 15 to an 84 in FIFA 20. It may be time to move in the opposite direction, though.
H2H has him retain his 84 rating, but an 81 may be more deserving.
