First WWE 2K16 Footage - Everything You Need To Know

What was revealed when Seth Rollins battled Finn Balor at Gamescom?

At Gamescom this week, the first significant footage from WWE 2K16 was released, revealing a lot about what this instalment is going to bring to the table. Meanwhile, a plethora of new details have been announced, with fresh information on everything from that expanded roster to the return of fan-favourite modes, and even the steps which have been taken to make this the most realistic WWE video game to date. So, what's new, what's the same, and what have they still not fixed? The answers are here...

8. Return Of Fan-Favourite Modes

While WWE 2K15 was a significant improvement over what had come before in many respects, it infuriatingly left out much of what made the previous games so enjoyable. Certain match types had inexplicably vanished, as had a significant chunk of the "Create-A" modes which had given players the chance to get their creative juices flowing. Thankfully, 2K16 will be bringing back the ability to create a show, an arena, and championship belts. That's going to make "WWE Universe" even more immersive, especially as that too has had something of an overhaul which will allow wrestlers to be booked on multiple shows. However, no doubt one of the most welcome additions is the Create-A-Diva mode, an absolute must-have in this era of #GiveDivasAChance. That being left out of 2K15 resulted in some serious backlash, so no doubt that too played a role in its return. "My Career" is also back, though it will this time take things a step further by allowing us to compete in the squared circle until reaching the WWE Hall of Fame! In terms of match types, Ladder matches, Handicap matches, and Tornado Tag Team matches will all also be readily available. 2K15 completely dropped the latter two, while the only way of having a one on one Ladder match was via TLC or by having a six man contest.
