7. Adriano (Brazil)
Position: Striker Age: 31 Former Club: Flamengo For someone who last enjoyed a late hey day back in 2009, before he hit the scrap heap at the tender age of just 26, the Brazilian with the notoriously bad attitude still has some dazzling stats. He might not be the most committed player, or the fittest, or the fastest, or in fact the most likely to do anything to help the rest of your team out, but you can't ignore his striking stats, or his technical ability, which should make the fact that he's slower than Jaap Stam's turning circle a triviality. The bigger problem is that Adriano is greedy, and clearly believes his league goal return of 1 in 4 years to be testament to his remaining quality, so you'll probably have some issues trying to sign him unless you can match his lofty ambitions, but even with someone like Chelsea, he's not a bad squad addition.
