The story of Parma is a tragic one. In the late 90s, rolling into the 00s, Parma played host to some of the finest footballers on the planet. However, like much of Italian football, they disintegrated. Financial difficulties crept in though they soldiered on until 2015 when it was confirmed that the club would be demoted all the way down to Serie D. Parma are the Rangers of Italian football, with the newly titled Parma Calcio 1913 starting life from this season in the FIFTH tier of Italian football. It's a long road back for the fallen giants, in both the real and virtual worlds, but what an incredibly satisfying challenge it could prove to be. Imagine rattling through four divisions building a club from scratch before leading them to Serie A glory and restoring their honour with a new golden era of players.
