Transfer Budget: £21.5m, Available Wages: £12k

AS Monaco's sugar daddy project hasn't quite taken-off like PSG's. The wheels started falling off when Falcao flopped and James Rodriguez left for Real Madrid, but while they've cut back on spending lately, they have decent potential in FM 17.

Their squad isn't as star-studded as it used to be, but there's plenty of scope for improvement. Wages will be a major stumbling block, however, and with just £12k p/w available, you'll probably need to sell a couple of players before making any major acquisitions. Still, Monaco are one of Europe's richest teams, and you'll never be struggling for money.
