Football Manager 2021 Review: 9 Ups And 3 Downs

8. Additional Player Interaction

Gamers have long been able to interact with their squad in the Football Manager franchise, but Football Manager 2021 has brought a whole new level of interaction to the table.

Every interaction with a player - or their agent, for that part - has a whole new level of detail to it. Not only are the conversations more in-depth, but there is now body language at play. Yes, body language.

When speaking to your star player or your next big thing, you have the option to set your body language before you speak to them. That means that there is an even greater level of personalisation to these conversations than ever seen before in any football game. But that also means that there is a greater risk of error for gamers.

Of course, it's ultimately down to each manager to make the best (or worst!) of this new feature. Say the right things presented in the right manner, you're in a player's favourite personnel for life. Say the wrong thing or present the wrong body language, and your best players and prospects will soon be trying to force their way out of the exit door.
