6. Approaching Agents

What Football Manager 2021 has done so well on the transfer front, is that it has made great changes without really feeling like a major overhaul. In particular, you can now directly approach an agent ahead of making a move for a player.

Found a player who you think could make a big difference to your team in the short or long term, but not sure on whether his club are open to selling him, what his transfer value would be, or what his wage demands are? Now, you can directly speak to the player's agents to find out all of this information.

On the transfer value, there are times where the agent can't give you an exact amount - which usually means you'll have to pay WAY over the odds - but having this conversation can break down wage demands and establish whether the player in question actually has any sort of interest in joining your club.

Again, this is a smart move from Sports Interactive, and it again brings something fresh to the table for a franchise that is forever looking to add new strings to its bow. Having that 'in' with agents means that gamers can at least be able to establish the lay of the land ahead of making any potential move for a new signing.
