Club: Grenada

Nationality: Colombian

Price: £450,000

Sure, ideally most FM gamers won't want to be signing up a 34-year-old, but it appears that on FM22 more than ever before there's a renewed focus on older players still having value. And when it comes to value, a fee of £400,000 for Carlos Bacca is too good to say no to for most clubs.

These days playing for Granada, the former Sevilla, Milan and Villarreal striker has so much to offer for lower teams on the rise, or for bigger teams looking for decent, cheap squad depth.

When it comes to looking for a central striker, three of the key stats to look for are finishing, off the ball, and composure. For Bacca, he still shines in these areas despite his advancing years, with 15 for composure and 16s for both of finishing and off the ball. Add in determination (15), penalty taking (15) and solid mental and physical numbers across the board, and you have a very decent player.

If these numbers were on a player ten years younger than Bacca, you'd likely be looking at a fee of £25 million or more. Due to his age, though, the Colombia international is available for peanuts.
