Minh Young Kim is the ideal soldier for Hoffman and was one of his more trusted Gears within the COG.

Like Hoffman, he was extremely loyal to the COG and the ideals it holds, so this meant he was the perfect man to rescue and oversee Marcus as he was brought back to the fight.

Many years before his demise at the hands of General RAAM, Kim had some run-ins with the Locust warlord during the fall of Ilima city. The Kryllstorm could not be stopped, and this would lead to Kim’s demotion and for him and RAAM to fight another day.
