3. A Story That Crosses Multiple Time Periods

This sounds far crazier than it actually is. The idea of time travel has been bandied about quite frequently in regards to GTA VI, but it doesn't mean you'll be hopping in a Delorean and jetting off across the very tapestry of the universe.

Instead, "time travel" in this context just means multiple time periods. We've seen Rockstar clearly have a love for specific decades and their respective iconographies. GTA London lampooned and embraced the 60s, Vice City the 80s and San Andreas the 90s, with GTA III and V being the 2000s and 2010s.

All these games had a great mix of reverence and comedy, and to dip their toes back into many time periods at once, it does make sense that Rockstar write a story that lets them dip their toes in various past time periods at once.
